Five Tales Farm is seeking a two-seasonal team member to join us from October 2026 through April 2027 for our peak growing season. This is a physical, full-time role suited to someone who values purposeful work, can maintain a steady pace, and takes pride in doing things well.
About the Role
This is a hands-on field position. You’ll be involved in all aspects of production, including:
Planting and harvesting a wide variety of crops
Bed preparation, weeding, irrigation, and crop care
Washing, packing, and processing produce for restaurants and local customers
General farm maintenance and occasional tractor operation
Work is physically demanding and outdoors in all conditions. We work at a consistent, productive pace, with a strong focus on quality and attention to detail across all tasks.
Who We’re Looking For
You don’t need previous farming experience, but you do need to show up with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn. We’re looking for someone who:
Maintains steady, focused work across full days
Works well in a small team and takes direction
Communicates clearly (strong English required)
Values quality, consistency, and reliability
Enjoys contributing to a positive, community-minded work environment
If you have relevant licenses (e.g. tractor, forklift) or experience in farming, horticulture, or physical outdoor work, that’s an advantage—but not essential.
Position Details
Award wage, 30.35$ an hour
Accommodation available (shared or private options may apply)
Full-time role from early October to end of April
Located at Five Tales Farm, West Gippsland, VIC
